Frequently Asked Questions
How do your signings work? We offer two types of signings. The majority of our signings are Private signings. In a private signing you send in your items to have signed by the athlete. If you don't have an item we also provide items (balls, photos, bats, etc) for most of the signings so you can buy one of "our items" that will be signed. We also occasionally host Public signings, in a public signing the event is open to the public and you can meet the athlete and get your items signed for a fee. Can you provide other items? We are always willing to provide additional items to customers to have signed. If you have an item you would like that you would like us to get for you please contact us. Want a jersey, bat, helmet, etc but don't have one on hand, let us get it for you! If I want a ball or photo signed is it better to send my own or buy from you? Buying one of "our items" can save you a lot of time and money. By going with our item you save the trouble and cost of shipping items to us. If you want a common item like a ball or photo we recommend you purchase ours! You'll often find that by comparing prices it is cheaper to buy our items than buy and mail your own. What happens to my items when I mail them to you? Each item is numbered, tagged, and stored until the signing. We then get all of the items signed and then they return with us to our company to be shipped back to you. Care is taken with every item to insure that the item you send is the item you get back and that there is no damage to the item. Do you prepare or modify my items for the signing? As a general policy we do not do anything special to the items prior to the signing. Most items will handle a sharpie/pen without issue but occasionally customers items are too glossy or of a poor material. We will have the item signed with the pen/marker you request but we cannot be responsible if the signatures fades, bubbles, or otherwise doesn't stick to the surface of your item. How do you ship the items back? We ship using a variety of methods, typically either USPS Priority Shipping (3-4 days) or FedEx Ground (2-3 days). If you require special return shipping or insurance please contact us about your item. How long will it take to get my item back? Please allow 2-3 weeks for your item to come back to you. We always attempt to ship as quickly as possible and most items ship within a week but please allow plenty of time before contacting us. Occasionally it takes longer for us to ensure your item is perfect and safely ship it back.good What if my item is very valuable? We occasionally get very expensive or rare items. We of course do our best to take great care of your item. If your item is extremely valuable please contact us so we are aware, especially if you want insurance included on the return shipping. We usually ship high dollar items through FedEx which has a $1000 cap on the insurance of sports memorabilia. What is an inscription? An inscription is an additional phrase or stat that the player includes after his signature. The most common of these are Hall-Of-Fame year, stats or nicknames. For example common inscriptions for Ozzie Smith would be "HOF 02", "15x All-Star", "The Wizard", etc. A player has the right to refuse any inscriptions and we typically list any "disallowed" inscriptions that we're aware of on our event page. If a player refuses your inscription we will still get your item signed without the inscription and refund you the inscription money. If you have any questions about your inscription please be sure to ask us! Can I have a photo taken of my item being signed? You can request a photo of your item being signed but we cannot garuntee this. There is a lot going on during the signings and we cannot promise pictures at any given time, but we will try. What pen/sharpie do you use? We use Bic Round Stick ink pens, Sharpie brand markers, and a variety of Paint Pens. If you want a different pen used please send one with your items with written instructions of what you want. Be sure also to note what color you want used. Typically we use Blue Ink on Baseballs and Blue Sharpie on all other items unless you request something different. What if I want my item signed in a certain spot? Please either write written instructions of this on your order form or include a sticky-note on the item pointing to where you want the item signed.
